When should I use Ice Replacements?
Use Ice Replacements if your product quality or presentation could
be affected by melted ice leaking into the package or your
preferred product temperature in transit is between 0degC and
9degC.
Why use a gel-based Ice Replacement?
Gel-based Ice Replacements use a Super Absorbent Powder to form a
gel within their structure. The gel particles are too big to escape
the package. Even if a leak occurs a harmless damp gel is released
which can be easily removed from the product. The structure of the
gel is such that more heat is absorbed than would be the case with
conventional ice. You need less weight of an Ice Replacement and
this results in savings on the costs of air freight.
